Overview

Overview:

 

We are looking for a Coordinator to support and deliver the site quality objectives across operations relating to specific customer quality assurance testing, monitoring and reporting. To deliver the site R&D project(s)and plans that drive beef eating quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

Main Duties (but not limited to):

 

TECHNICAL:

  • Customer specific raw meat (carcase) quality testing, recording and reporting – (u) pH / pH & Temperature.
  • In house / sensory / organoleptic testing of beef cuts (training will be provided) to retail specification and cooking instructions.

OPERATIONS:

  • Operational performance monitoring of the site primary process intervention CDES (Controlled Dose Electrical Stimulation).

R&D:

  • Routine Steak Quality Assessment – Tenderometry Testing (training will be provided) / Recording & Reporting.
  • Project coordination and implementation, supporting the Group Head of R&D / Group Head of Agriculture Farm to Fork quality initiatives. MEQ Live and MEQ Camera in collaboration with site Technical & Operational Functions. Liaison with project consortia both internal and external (suppliers).

CORPORATE:

  • Be customer facing as and when required including customer engagement during customer visits.
  • Responsible for the protecting, at all times, of the integrity of the Company through positive and constructive actions and attitude.

 

Qualifications

Experience and Qualification:

 

The Person:

 

Essential

  • Level 2 Food Skills.
  • Basic computer skills / Microsoft Office / Excel / Powerpoint / Word / Outlook & MS Teams.
  • Ability and confidence to operate in an animal primary processing / butchery environment.
  • Experience of in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels across the business.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK.

 

Desirable

  • Further education (HND level+)
  • Quality system experience
  • Knowledge of ISO/BRC
