Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Quality Manager to join our team within the Dungannon Retail site. Working closely with the Production team, Customers, Engineering, supply chain and our employees, this will be a hands on role with scope to shape and develop a high performing and effective Quality Team, driving a Food Safety Culture throughout the site and working proactively and collaboratively with our production colleagues to ensure we deliver on our quality commitments to our customers.

Responsibilities

Role:

  • Responsibility for Quality standards within the production area
  • Being the driving force behind Food Safety Culture initiatives
  • Providing up to date reports, analysis and feedback to the Site FSQ Manager
  • Supplier non-conformance reporting and actions
  • Integrity of process including label verifications
  • Investigating with Root Cause Analysis on any Customer complaints
  • Maintaining the Quality Management system
  • Attending Lean 6s & Pit Meetings as well as daily Production Meetings
  • Ensuring regular meetings and action updates with Hygiene manager
  • Completion of Audits GMP, Allergen etc
  • Follow up Pest control CAs
  • Schedule Validations and Schedule Calibrations
  • Review Service Level Agreements & Haulier approvals
  • Responsible for Quality team on the shift, in terms of work structure, communication and effectiveness
  • Employee Interviews, performance management and development plans
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda within the team
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with all departments
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

Qualifications

The Person:

  • Formal Qualification in a Food Science or related area
  • Experience in a Supervisory or Management position within Food Manufacturing
  • Strong Understanding of FSQ Management systems including HACCP
  • Experience dealing with customer and 3rd party audits
  • Good knowledge of industry standards
  • Strong relationships and networks with Industry and Community
  • Ability to help deliver change and manage a team through a change process 
  • Keen interest in people development and performance management
  • Ability to make decisions, help develop strategy and drive an agenda forward
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to positively influence stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and driven with the ability to deliver improvements
  • Ability to work on a shift pattern basis
  • Willing to build knowledge base above and beyond core experience

 

 

This role operates on a shift basis, including weekend work, which will be discussed at interview.

All candidates must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
