Overview

Dunbia UK is an industry Leader in food manufacturing and an excellent opportunity has arisen at the Carnaby site.

 

This new position will add to the current engineering team to lead and drive customer and site projects.  Accountable for providing solutions to projects using advanced project expertise to deliver engineering strategies and minimize commercial risk.

As Project Engineer you will report directly to the site Engineering Manager, overseeing projects from planning, to implementation, to completion, with a focus on site systems, equipment and machinery. Ensuring projects are executed smoothly and effectively.  Deliver projects to departmental targets, ensuring projects are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and plan project from inception to acceptance, with accountability for all aspects of the project, delivering on time and a focus on quality.
  • Effective use of internal and external resources to build and develop a best practice approach to accurately deliver a project.
  • Develop strong working relationships to improve project execution and maximize opportunities for repeat business.
  • Drive continuous improvements through feedback received
  • To plan scheduled work and respond accordingly to unforeseen work activity, ensuring the engineering team meet their requirements
  • Manage the projects progress, and where there are shortfalls, remedial action plans should be implemented to resolve issues arising effectively
  • Work within scope of quality requirements, industry standards, Health & Safety regulations and adhere to all Company Policies
  • Responsible for identifying and managing risks for all projects embarked upon.
  • Effectively communicate with all individuals
  • Provide progress reports and analysis on project performance to management
  • Hands on approach required to work alongside the engineering team.

Qualifications

  • A Technical engineering background, preferably within a factory environment is desirable
  • Electrical qualification is desirable but not essential
  • CAD qualification or experience is desirable but not essential
  • Problem solving and risk management skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and meet deadlines
  • Excellent Communication skills are essential
  • Financial planning and budgeting experience
