Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, career-minded individual who is keen to start or progress their career within Dunbia. This individual will work as part of our existing Health, Safety and Environmental team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based at Dungannon plant and will:

  • Ensure all environmental and energy related documentation is kept up to date;
  • Update & conduct site audits, utility meter readings and environmental assessments;
  • Assist the Environmental Manager in hosting ISO14001 and ISO50001 certification audits
  • Updating all invoice data and waste duty of care documentation
  • Collaborate with departmental leads in implementing any new environmental and energy processes;
  • Assist in organisation of environmental and energy training for employees where required;
  • Collaborate with management to monitor compliance and identify environmental issues.
  • Foster culture of continuous improvement within production areas for environmental and energy compliance
  • Communicating any changes and updates to all supervisors and team leaders.

Qualifications

The ideal Candidate will have or be able to demonstrate:

  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar role. We would also welcome applications from candidates with greater experience in this field;
  • Good interpersonal relationships, ability to build good team and cross functional relationships so that all information, both written and verbal, is clearly communicated to the relevant stakeholders;
  • Focus on continuous improvement and implementation of problem-solving techniques and standardisation;
  • Ability to implement good follow up and control in all aspects of the role;
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks as necessary;
  • Degree in environmental, energy or sustainability related subject required
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered membership of ISEP (desirable)
  • Knowledge and compliance of environmental and energy legislation.
  • IT proficient in Microsoft Office with heavy focus on Excel and experience of other management systems.

This role operates on a Monday to Friday basis, however, all candidates must be flexible to meet the demands of the business.
