Overview

We are seeking to recruit a high-caliber Commercial Manager who will be responsible for establishing a strong key customer relationship to ensure sales and profitability targets are met. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager this position will play an integral part developing existing and future business within the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Building a strong integrated relationship with a key retail customer and their associated departments, incorporating regular visits to the customers head office.
  • Oversee relevant supply chain plans, forecasting and promotional activity for the customer.
  • Negotiate product pricing with the customer and distribute to internal and external parties.
  • Liaise with NPD department to innovate new ideas to maximise new market opportunities in commercially beneficial ways to the business.
  • Work in a cross functional team; coordination with all key departments of Category, NPD, Supply Chain, Technical and Production.
  • Oversee the arrangements for the set-up of new product launches and ensure that all components are correct in advance of first production.
  • Provision of weekly forecast vs actual reports for all internal parties.
  • Undertake range reviews and provide a comprehensive range analysis to improve sales within the department.
  • Provision of weekly report to the customer on week to date sales and additional opportunities.
  • Carry out regular bench marking exercises and carry out a monthly gap analysis to improve the range.
  • To understand the category and the current market position in comparison to other retailers and discounters.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc requests from internal management or the customer.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ideally, 3 years’ experience in a similar role working within a manufacturing environment supplying a top retail customer.
  • The role requires travel and visits to the customer, various stores, and Dunbia Group sites, so a full clean Driving License is essential.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office is essential.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
  • An ambitious, customer focused team player, highly flexible, motivated, and proactive.
  • Show strong leadership and management skills whilst acting in a Professional manner at all times.
  • Will be committed to working within the Company Values.
