We currently wish to recruit for a Full Time Laundry Operative in our Primary Factory to assist with the efficient running of the Laundry Department. This role is full-time Monday to Friday (4pm – 10.30pm or 3pm – 9:30pm).
Responsibilities
Ensure all communal areas and amenity blocks are kept clean and tidy and compliant with SOPs
Sort, wash, store and distribute laundry.
Issue PPE
Monitor stock levels of laundry chemicals, soap, sanitizer, toilet paper and towels
Use cleaning chemicals as instructed and in a safe manner.
Ensure all factory PPE is washed, dried, and prepared each evening, so it is fully ready for the next morning’s production
Use, handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and strictly as instructed.
Maintain clean communication with the Laundry Manager, reporting daily progress, stock shortages or equipment issues.
Qualifications
Organized and self-motivated to ensure all jobs are completed on time;
Excellent communication skills;
Experience in a commercial laundry, factory, or professional cleaning environment is highly valued, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Ability to work on your own
The ability to work to tight deadlines;
Flexible and able to work overtime as and when required to meet factory demands;
The ability to maintain and improve on our high levels of hygiene
