We are looking for a General Maintenance Engineer to join our existing team at Llanybydder, to work on the back shift, Monday-Friday from 1500-0000, providing skilled support in matters relating to premises maintenance and machinery repair.

We would love to hear from individuals who enjoy working with others, taking pride in doing things properly and feels comfortable following procedures in a regulated environment.

You’ll be someone who

  • Has good mechanical or electrical skills – experience in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial
  • Has a qualification in a mechanical/electrical discipline or 18th Edition training would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads efficiently and effectively to meet desired deadlines.
  • Communicates well
  • Attention to detail and accept responsibility
  • Follows instructions and work with care and consistency
  • Upholds and shares our strong values and supports a positive team culture
  • Works well with others
  • Is reliable and hardworking
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment

Responsibilities

Your Main Duties will include:

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning in the correct manner
  • Maintaining the site and its machinery on a daily basis to ensure that it is fit for its intended purpose
  • Ensuring appropriate housekeeping standards are maintained on a daily basis.
  • Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety.
  • Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate.
  • Adhering to departmental SOPs and maintaining high standards
  • Contributing to the team’s goals and department targets
  • Promotes and maintains excellent health, safety and hygiene standards
